I have nothing but good things to say about Beaches recovery and Tides Edge. Healing really does begin there. As someone who's unfortunately been to a lot of treatment centers, I do feel a little qualified to accurately give them a five-star rating. The therapy you will receive is top quality, the facilities are very nice and a stone's throw from the beach. The staff from the top down, inside and out are wonderful people who will truly care about you and be there to help you! No matter what, I will always be grateful for beaches and to all who work there! Thank you Beaches Recovery for giving me my life back. This is a wonderful facility for helping with addiction and self-realization while encompassing comfort, compassionate care and recovery. From the moment I arrived I knew I was in the right place. The staff genuinely care for each and every individual. I left with a greater understanding of sobriety, the disease of addiction and the ability to overcome it. The friends I made and the incredible individuals from Beaches Recovery continue to be a part of my journey today. The moment you get to beaches, depending on when you arrive, you will be met with incompetent logistics regarding how much time they have to tolerate you to get their insurance payout without it being fraudulent. The places you stay differ, from men staying in a “renovated motel” (women get 2 large houses) that is nothing close to being a beach themed rehab apart from some fish paintings on the walls, and the beach being 2 blocks away (how often you go to the beach is up to question of the availability of drivers, your status within the program, dictated by faceless individuals who seem to focus more on punishment to ensure their liability needs are being met, but your best bet is 3 times a week). Other than that, there is in no fashion a dedication to it being beach related or themed, with even promised surfing lessons occurring twice out of my entire 100+ day stay. Within the first month you will have learned all they have to offer in their “classes” which seem to be haphazardly assembled if not at all, usually seen on the faces of the staff as they struggle to figure out how to keep the clients busy. Therapists range from wonderful to sociopathic, veiling “hard work” as a source in which to extract info and use against you in punishment. IOP is simply spending the least amount of time needed by the insurance plan to be able to take the clients back to their places of stay, as they had no other plan. Techs go on power trips and will go out of their way to silently punish you, right after preaching confrontation is healthy, therapists will veil their roles to use you as Guinea pigs in their personally owned business and even lie to uphold their agenda. Figures who seemingly hold no power use personal connection to avoid punishment, and enforce it as they see fit. Make no mistake. This is a business

I cannot begin to express the amount of gratitude that I have for Beaches Recovery. As a person who has struggled for a number of years with addiction, I have never felt more compassion and love from so many. The staff concerned themselves with my well being on a daily basis. They are my family now and I love them dearly. Many treatment centers appear to be concerned but generally are more about the money than anything else. This is not the case with Beaches Recovery. This facility has wonderful staff, amenities, and evidence based treatment plans. This place changes my life! If you are ready to find a new way of life, this is the perfect place to begin. Not only is the program good, it also gives you the ability to start life, responsibility, and accountability with just enough supervision to feel protected.

I somewhat reluctantly attended Beaches Recovery after a second trip to detox. I felt I owed it to myself and family to further my recovery and agreed to only a 30 day stay at Beaches. I didn't come from the streets, or a court order, I came from a wonderful home with a loving family and a serious opiate habit, that caused my life to completely hit rock bottom. It took me less than a day to realize that this was going to be the best moments of my life. Moments spent with loving, caring, understanding fellow members and staff. From the drivers to the therapist, to the medical staff to the house managers, to the management staff, I was always treated with the utmost respect and understanding. I had plenty of time to work on my issues daily, while feeding off others and learning from their experiences too. Cannot tell you how others in the program helped me heal, while therapist and staff helped me find the causes of my addiction, and how to use the tools provided to heal as a person. I ended up staying 65 days at Beaches Recovery, and wished I had more time. Beaches doesn't just talk the talk, they actually care and provide you with every tool you need to heal as a person, and how to be proud of the progress you make along the way. I still stay in touch with staff, as I consider them part of my family now. I am treated with as much respect now as I did when I was in the program. There are too many people to thank in such a short review, but I want to thank all of the staff at Beaches Recovery for caring for me through the toughest time of my life yet the best experience of my life. If you are serious about Recovery, there is no substitute for Beaches Recovery.
